Lab-grown Diamond

What Makes Them Different from Natural Diamonds

The differences are 'where they were born,' 'how long they took,' and 'price.' The stone itself is the same.

02Can You Tell Them Apart?

No. Even a professional gemologist cannot distinguish them with a loupe. Identification requires specialized equipment that reads the crystal's growth patterns.

That is exactly why the industry standard is to disclose lab-grown origin transparently. Grading reports clearly state it, and most stones carry a girdle inscription. We disclose all lab-grown diamonds as such when we deliver them.

03Is It True That Natural Diamonds Sparkle More?

Brilliance is determined by cut, not by whether the diamond is natural. At the same cut grade, the sparkle is the same.

Conversely, a diamond does not sparkle more just because it is lab-grown. Choose based on cut quality.

04Which Should You Choose?

  • Choose natural if: you value the story of billions of years and rarity; you want potential future asset value
  • Choose lab-grown if: you want to prioritize size or quality within your budget; you prefer a stone with clear origins

Neither is inherently superior. LABONITO engagement rings can be made with either. See them side by side at the shop.
